The arum is a common flower in our country, growing wild. It is considered a poisonous plant, and according to Wikipedia, all parts of the plant are poisonous. But those in the know, consider this plant a health food. They eat it in combination with another plant commonly found here, and it can be very beneficial in dealing with parasites.
Towards the end of our walk, we sat on stone benches around a stone table, and Ilan pulled out a thermos bottle. We all had a refreshing cup of coffee. It was a beautiful day.
